For a longer period I had to keep my lawn tractor and trailer in a client's guarded car park. It had both camera surveillance and security staff, yet thefts had still happened there.

A camera lets you watch afterwards how your equipment was taken away - but it does not tell you where it went.

So I decided to fit a GPS tracker to both the trailer and the lawn tractor. I was looking for a solution that was quick and easy to install and did not necessarily need a permanent power connection. At the time I could not find a solution in Estonia that matched exactly what I needed.

After researching the options I found suitable devices. That is how I went from mowers and a mowing service to GPS solutions - partly by chance, but above all because of my own practical need. That led to a thought: if I had this problem, owners of trailers, work machines, vehicles and other valuable equipment probably have the same need.

Out of that experience grew ProTrackEst's new direction: offering GPS solutions to people who want a simple way to keep an eye on their assets.
